Balsamic Truss Tomato Tofu Squares

Tasty appetizers that are as simple as they are delicious. A sprinkle of dukka adds an extra element of texture that completes the dish.

Ingredients

  • 375 g Tofu
  • 3 Tomatoes large
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar

Dukkah

  • 1/2 cup Almonds Roasted
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tsp Dried Mixed Herbs
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano

Instructions

  • Slice Tofu into 6 even squares, top with sliced tomatoes and drizzle with Balsamic vinegar.
  • Bake on a baking tray (lined with baking paper) at 180*C for until Tofu has turned golden brown and is quite crisp (this can vary from 10-20 mins depending on your oven).
  • Dukkah: Blend or crush almonds into small chunks, and stir in other ingredients.
  • Serve Tofu topped with dukkah, alongside a salad or just eat it on its own.

Notes

You can buy pre-made Dukkah if you’re short on time.
