Ingredients
Barbecue Sauce
- 2 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp maple Syrup
- 2 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 4 tbsp Water
Pulled Jackfruit
- 1 can Young Jackfruit drained
- 1 Shallots diced
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper to taste
To Serve
- Preferred bread of choice
- Tomatoes sliced
- Onions sliced
- Lettuce
Instructions
- Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
- Drain and pull jackfruits apart into shreds by hand. Set a aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic, diced shallot and sauté for 3 minutes, until softened.
- Add the jackfruit and heat through for 2-3 minutes. Reduce heat to low, add the homemade barbecue sauce and mix until well combined.
- Assemble your sandwiches then serve.
