Black Bean Falafel Nourish Bowl with Tahini Dressing

Ingredients

Falafels

  • 1 large Onion diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 large Carrots diced
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Black Beans cooked
  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/4 cup Chickpea Flour

Tahini Dressing

  • 1/4 cup Tahini
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • 2 tsp Maple Syrup
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

Tahini Dressing

  • Mix all ingredients until well mixed. set aside

Falafel

  • In a frying pan, saute the onion, garlic, and carrots for 5-6 minutes. Add in the spices and incorporate well. 
  •  Once fragrant, transfer the mixture to a food processor along with the remaining ingredients. Pulse into a homogeneous mixture, then roll into balls using your hands. 
  • Cook in a greased pan on medium heat (or bake at 350°F for 25 min) until browned, flipping halfway.
  • Serve with your choice of nourishing vegetables and salad.
