Ingredients
Falafels
- 1 large Onion diced
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 large Carrots diced
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1/2 tsp Coriander
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 cups Black Beans cooked
- 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
- 1/4 cup Chickpea Flour
Tahini Dressing
- 1/4 cup Tahini
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Sriracha
- 2 tsp Maple Syrup
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Instructions
Tahini Dressing
- Mix all ingredients until well mixed. set aside
Falafel
- In a frying pan, saute the onion, garlic, and carrots for 5-6 minutes. Add in the spices and incorporate well.
- Once fragrant, transfer the mixture to a food processor along with the remaining ingredients. Pulse into a homogeneous mixture, then roll into balls using your hands.
- Cook in a greased pan on medium heat (or bake at 350°F for 25 min) until browned, flipping halfway.
- Serve with your choice of nourishing vegetables and salad.
